Australian and New Zealand soldiers have celebrated what may be their final Anzac Day together as a joint unit in East Timor on April 25, 2012.
The Anzac Company stood to attention as the sun rose over their base in Dili while bagpipes played to honour Australians and New Zealanders killed on battlefields across the globe.
On the site where 12 Australian commandos of Sparrow Force were executed by the Japanese in 1942, the modern Anzacs paid special tribute to soldiers from both countries killed in recent conflicts.
